Federal and Kentucky state law requires that you must be 21 years of age or older to purchase tobacco products, vaping products, and related items.
ID Requirements
We are required by law to verify the age of all customers purchasing age-restricted products. Acceptable forms of identification include:
- • Valid driver's license
- • State-issued identification card
- • U.S. passport
- • Military ID
IDs must be valid (not expired) and contain your photo, date of birth, and physical description.
Kentucky Tobacco Laws
- Minimum Age: You must be 21 years or older to purchase tobacco products, vaping products, and alternative nicotine products in Kentucky.
- ID Verification: Retailers are required to verify the age of anyone appearing to be under 30 years of age.
- Penalties: Selling tobacco products to minors is a violation punishable by fines and potential loss of retail license.
